Most Americans are well acquainted with empanadas, a popular item in Hispanic cuisine.
Argentine empanadas, however, are slightly different. They are smaller in size, yet full of flavor. The cuisine in Northwest Argentina has a spicy kick to it, and empanadas are no exception to this rule. At Jezabel’s, empanadas are hand-rolled and baked fresh daily. Varieties offered include:
Beef: prepared with sautéed onions with ground sirloin, olives and raisins. A crowd favorite!
Spinach: filled with seasonal roots or mushrooms roasted with fresh herbs, spinach, and aged cheddar. Great for vegetarians!
Napolitana: folded with honey glazed ham, mozzarella cheese, caramelized onions with fresh herbs, and tomatoes. Kids love these!
Chicken*: Sautéed onions, chicken, olives, and scallions are married with a spicy kick.
Vegan Spinach: It’s hard to miss the meat or the cheese after you sample our vegan version. (Minimum order: One dozen)
